MI•MAIZEY
ABOUT
Intro to UX took us through the entirety of the UX/UI design process. From user research, client briefs, and low to high fidelity ideation, the goal was to focus on storytelling in design.

Design Brief
Lets get this started
When working with a client, it is important to first understand what they are looking for. The nitty gritty of what they expect. So, I created a design brief. This document contains the important information from the larger brief document and the communications with the client. This document is thus the basis of the entire project.
Wireframing
Just make it work
After some initial sketching, I began my work on wireframing my design solution. In this stage, my goal was to make a functional product, not a pretty one. My goal was to make the UX understandable without prototyping, and connect the key concepts the client was looking for.
landing page
telling the story
The UM-GPT Service requires a landing page before entering MI•MAIZEY. The goal of this page is to not only explain what this product does, but to also tell the story of how MI•MAIZEY can impact students. Further, by making this landing paige interesting and interactive, it increases engagement and understanding of the product to the user base. Plus, it becomes much more fun.
HIgh Fidelity
MAking it look good
After working through low fidelity designing, and telling the story of MI•MAIZEY, it is time to update the UI elements. My goal was to create an interface that follows the University of Michigan brand identity, use accessible design choices with color and typography, and create an interface that is both visually unique and one that follows mental models of GPT services for ease of use. The solution to these goals creates a clean and appealing interface that entices the user and simplifies their experience.
FINAL DESIGNS
Prototyped and all
Before presenting the final designs to the client, it was time to prototype. My focus was to make the interactions, clear and understandable, while also showing creativity with new features. The pivotal feature of this design was the different class chat bots. MI•MAIZEY allows users to access content that is connected through their canvas portal. This chat bot feature allows users to choose which class they would like to receive content from. This allows MI•MAIZEY to have conversations with users that focuses on lectures, readings, and more, becoming a tutor for whichever class a user may choose.
Pitch Deck
presenting to the client
I was one of the 7 students chosen to present my designs back to our client. This presentation was to share the overview of my process in the application’s creation, as well as sharing key design decisions that influenced the final product. This presentation was received very well, being given great comments from the teaching team and the client.
