momentum
My first class project in UX with glowing reviews from Paul Woods, CEO of Edenspiekermann
ABOUT
SI 311 - Automotive UX
November 10, 2023 - December 4, 2023
Automotive UX focused on the center console systems in vehicles. We had a strong focus on creating the most frictionless and safe systems for drivers. Momentum was the mid-level vehicle design given to the class by Edenspiekermann.

The Brief
Best of both worlds
Students were asked to design an automotive infotainment HMI UX concept console with a focus on low-fidelity UX and information architecture. We were told to design for a fictional startup, Aurora. I chose to focus on the mid-level vehicle size as it posed a unique challenge — create a luxury UX system in a condensed space for each frame.

Pitch Deck
Chosen to show off?
Part of the final project package was to present to the class, but the top 15 students were chosen to present these designs not only to the class, but to the CEO of Edenspiekermann, as well as other members from the team. I was chosen, and recieved glowing reviews of my designs.
“This work is very impressive… great setup of the problem, and I like how you have this nomenclature of the key features. You have laid the IA out very well for the reviewer. I like the use of the vehicle model for the settings… as you can really piss someone off if it is not easy to do those set-and-forget things. That makes or breaks the experience. I really appreciate the attention to detail on the core foundational features.”
- Paul Woods, Former CEO of Edenspiekermann
“Very good IA, easy to navigate and clear focus. Clear connection with physical controls.”
- Jens Rauenbusch, Former Senior Strategist at Edenspiekermann
